Because life isn’t all about goals, dreams, purpose, and how to spend your time wisely.
Life is about living.
Not every moment has to be spent chasing a goal.
Because that’s tiring, exhausting, and leads to burn-out.
There’s a tremendous price to pay to recover, if you’re not taking care of yourself right.
Life is not all about the chase, the thrill of the hunt, or the achievement of the goal.
Life is about the little moments in between.
It’s also about the brief pauses in between the moments when you’re pushing.
The brief moments that allow you time to enjoy the moment, the time, the scenery, and your company.
If you want to.
But more often than not, we let those moments slip by, calling them wasted time.
We don’t take time to enjoy the random moments that happen in our lives, and how they provide a break from the deep focus that we get ourselves into when we’re chasing what’s so important to us.
Not every moment has to be spent chasing a goal.
But every moment you have has to be spent living.
Life is about exploration, as well.
Yes, focus is important to excel, and to be able to achieve your dreams and purpose.
And no, you don’t need to focus at all times.
Not everything you do has to be about one specific goal, one specific dream.
It doesn’t even have to do with any goal or dream.
What if you did that? How one-dimensional you would be!
I’m at a point where I focused for so long, what used to fill me with excitement and joy, is now starting to feel boring and stale.
And it’s a feeling that I wasn’t prepared for. That I feel, we all are not prepared for.
It doesn’t mean what I’m doing is any less important for me.
It just means I’ve been doing the same things over and over again. If we’re not doing anything new, that gets boring.
And to succeed, we have to embrace and face the boredom, and keep on going.
But, again, life is also about appreciating the little, in-between moments.
Explore, and experience new things, things far from what you’re doing, and where you’re focusing.
It’s the only way we can get new experiences, and new ideas. Which we can incorporate back into whatever it is we’re focusing on.
Human beings are naturally curious.
We’re natural explorers, and we should honor that side of us.
Be in the present moment.
Life is about the journey. It’s about the experiences that you have moment to moment, day to day.
Most of the lessons you learn, to become a better person, and to uplift the quality of your life, come in the struggles in going for your goals, and reaching for your dreams.
I realized that I only learned the lessons I needed, when I was in the moment, and aware of what was happening, and what I was actually doing.
A lucid feeling of control, possibility, and reflection.
Right now, as I look back, I also realize that I learn so much better, and have become a better person, by becoming mindful, and by being present right where I am, at that moment.
Allow yourself space to breathe.
And not be always full throttle all of the time.
Build pockets of space and silence into your daily routine, and take some time to pause, smell the roses, and just be.
Just, be.
You don’t just go for your dreams.
In the process, you have to live it.
Live.
